Chicago Hydro Jetting Services

First off, what is a hydro jet and why would you need to have one performed? Hydro jetting services here in Chicago actually is one of our more popular services we perform on cleaning drains and pipes. Hydro jet is just as the sounds, we use highly pressurized water and shoot it down your sewer pipe lines to clear out any debris or scale build up. In the past we used to use ‘cutter’ and these are basically blades that rotate on the end of a cable and they cut out roots from your sewer pipeline. This process does not work nearly as well as hydro jetting and cutting out roots can actually damage the integrity of your sewer pipes.

Hydro jetting is accomplished by an advanced small nozzle on the end of a hose whereas pressurized water it feed through small holes and the water comes out an enormous rate of speed. Most hydro jet models are rated at around 4,000 psi. At 4,000 psi that is really getting the job done. So, if you have root buildup or even a stubborn root ball wedged into your sewer line...we are here to tell you it is no match for our hydro jetters.

Another problem we see a lot of is build up inside the sewer pipes. Buildup can consist of many types of ‘gunk’ that sticks to the interior of your pipes that over time continually build up and attach itself to your pipes. Over time it becomes thicker and thicker and it gets to the point where nothing can pass through. When this happens, it will lead to a backup inside your home or business. By using a hydro jetter, it can descale any build up and blast it out the pipe. As a matter of fact, by using a hydro jetter you can literally scrub the interior of your pipes to an almost like new condition.

Most of our hydro jetting customers are maintenance customers who at one point had us repair and or reline their pipes only to have us come out once or twice a year to clean and descale the lines. Also, all insurance companies require hydro jetting maintenance when it comes to sewer pipelines. The number one problem for clogged up pipes is grease. Grease that is continually poured down sewer and drain pipes will ultimately blocked a pipeline. Unless you routinely clean out or hydro jet these types of lines you will experience a back up. Also, soaps are a common material that will also build up in your sewer and drain pipe lines. Over time all soaps will cling to and adhere to the inside of your pipes in the form of scale build up.
